Picture this: a quaint little town nestled in the heart of Arkansas, alive with stories waiting to be told. For the past year and a half, Abby and the vibrant people of Logan's Creek have been living in my mind, ready to burst into life on the pages of my debut novel. This small town, with its quirky residents and picturesque charm, invites you to discover its secrets and warmth.

In Logan's Creek, you’ll find characters that could easily be your neighbors or friends. Each has unique traits that resonate with real-life experiences, capturing what it truly means to live in a tight-knit community. As you immerse yourself in the story, you might stumble upon characteristics that remind you of your family or perhaps even yourself.

Meet Abby Carter: The Heart of Logan's Creek

At the story's center is Abby Carter, a determined young woman shaped by the solid values of her family. Growing up, “quit” was not in her vocabulary. This mentality makes her relatable to readers who are navigating their life challenges.

Abby faces a dilemma many of us know all too well: choosing between two loves. On one side is Ian, the adventurous photographer she left behind in Chicago; on the other is Josh, her hometown boyfriend representing comfort and familiarity. This love triangle adds excitement to the tale, reflecting the internal struggles we often face in our relationships.

A Glimpse into Abby’s World

Here’s an excerpt from Chapter Two to give you a taste of what to expect from A Small Town Somewhere:

O’Hare International covers 7,627 acres and served 54 million passengers in a recent year. Ian was a platinum member of American Airlines and the equivalent at United. Abby had loved that about Ian when they’d first started dating. He would fly away for a shoot, then come back with souvenirs from places she’d never been, like Marrakesh or Tokyo..
Lately, she wasn’t so sure. Deep down, Abby was a small-town girl. “A small town somewhere” was how Ian had described where she was from the first month they’d been dating. He’d forgotten the particulars. It couldn’t be helped. They’d learned so much about each other that didn’t translate to words: small crevices and secret places, the teasing brush of eyelashes on bare skin.
When she’d elbowed him over the comment, he’d turned red. “It’s Logan’s Creek,” she’d told his group of friends. “In Arkansas. Not just a small town somewhere, but the best town anywhere.

As you prepare to dive into A Small Town Somewhere, remember that Abby's story is just beginning. Each chapter presents new challenges and delightful surprises awaiting her and the colorful residents of Logan's Creek.

Adventure awaits in that small town somewhere—and it’s ready for you to experience!

Plus this is the first of four in a series! I hope you enjoy them all!
